Chip Cunliffe
Senior Director and Co-FounderChip is a co-founder, Senior Director and member of ORRAA’s Executive Leadership team. He leads the development and execution of ORRAA’s organisational strategy and Blue Finance Innovation workstream.
Before joining ORRAA, Chip was Biodiversity Director at AXA XL, where he established AXA’s Ocean Risk Initiative, identifying ways in which risk transfer mechanisms and finance solutions can be best used to build resilience to ocean related risks. It included developing the Coastal Risk Index, supporting the scientific basis for a mangrove insurance product and identifying insurance pathways to address IUU fishing. He previously served as Head of Programmes at Geo Mission, overseeing operational and strategic planning for a series of scientific expeditions to the High Arctic.
