Emily Landis
Global Climate Adaptation and Resilience Director, The Nature ConservancyEmily Landis is the Global Climate Adaptation and Resilience Director at The Nature Conservancy (TNC). She leads the global effort to highlight the role of nature-positive solutions in building community resilience and strengthening adaptive capacities. The program focuses on policy, science, partnerships, and field programs in over thirty countries. Her team’s work also supports streamlining private financing for nature-based adaptation and resilience through insurance, nature-positive business development, resilience credits, and blended finance.
In this role, Emily represents The Nature Conservancy in the Global Mangrove Alliance, in whose founding she played a leading role. Emily also sits on the strategic leadership of BC+, which is an effort to mainstream nature-positive businesses in coastal systems, and serves as an advisor on ORRAA’s Steering Council.
Prior to joining The Nature Conservancy, Emily worked for the Global Ocean Commission, The Pew Charitable Trusts, and Rare. She holds a graduate degree in biology from University College London and a dual BA/BS degree in international policy and environmental science.
