Ashleigh Cirilla
Operations LeadAshleigh oversees a broad portfolio of grants management operations, programme operations, legal and compliance, and technology services across ORRAA’s global reach.
Ashleigh previously led the Pew Bertarelli Ocean Legacy Project in the Eastern Tropical Pacific region, working with in-country partners to develop and advance campaign strategies to establish and strengthen the network of marine protected areas in the region. Ashleigh provided both leadership and programme operations support for campaign sites.
Before joining Pew, Ashleigh was an in-house attorney focused on sustainability in urban development with the U.S. Green Building Council. She also worked on international treaties and laws in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Office of General Counsel International Section. Ashleigh holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Niagara University, a Juris Doctorate from Villanova University, and master of laws in international environmental law from George Washington University.
