Maya Delaney

Maya leads on strategy refinement for The Octopus Desk, a pioneering blue finance marketplace designed to connect project developers, donors, investors, and advisors with the goal of accelerating sustainable ocean investment in the Global South. Her focus is on the intersection of ocean conservation and finance.

Prior to ORRAA, she worked at a boutique investment advisory firm, where she supported the design of capital market instruments to finance nature and climate solutions at scale. Her experience in geopolitical consulting further enhances her expertise, where she advised cross-sector initiatives that sought to scale climate finance in emerging markets. Maya holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Stanford University, along with an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
