Erin Marchington
Environment and Climate Change Canada, Senior Policy Advisor and ManagerErin Marchington works for the Government of Canada, as a Senior policy advisor and Manager at Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC). She leads a team in ECCC’s International Affairs Branch that focuses on international environment and nature finance issues, including the recent Convention on Biological Diversity Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework Target 19 negotiations and Canada’s role on the Council of the Global Environment Facility. Before this position, Erin was working to support the development of Canada’s 2030 Emission Reduction Plan in ECCC’s Deputy Minister’s office, advising on climate and environment issues for Cabinet discussions at the Privy Council Office, and leading in international negotiations on climate finance and gender issues under the UNFCCC. Prior to her time in government, Erin completed a Masters in Environmental Science, Policy and Management at Lund University, and a Masters in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Toronto.
